Was a deputy sheriff for 29 yrs, but shot dad's REAL gun at age 7, a 1911A1, that he bought after WWll. And as they say, "the rest is history". And at age 73, that 1911A1, is my go to gun if and when the SHTF!! [[along with my AR15 and or my multiple AKM's]] 😉

We lived near the capital city of Michigan. My wife had to drive through the "rough" part of the city to and from work. Additionally, my work brought me into the "sketchy" part of several cities in Michigan. After reading several news stories of life threatening events occurring in the areas in which we traveled we decided that it was time to purchase self defense weapons for ourselves. At the time we had two young children and we did not want them to grow up without one or both of us. I don't recall when we first joined USCCA, but we've never regretted that decision and have never looked back. Thank God we've never had to use our guns for protection, but just having them gave us comfort and confidence that we could defend ourselves if the need ever arose.

I am a retail jewelry store owner, and take my family and friends as well as employees safety seriously. Even though I personally have never had a security incident, I know all too well how that can change in an instant and need to be prepared here and at home. Having the peace of mind knowing you have my back if anything should happen gives me sleep at night. Happy member since 2013!

Shooting too close to home resulting in death at local gas station. I was in line of fire just seconds after shots. The shooter is known in area and I was in close proximity with him prior to Shooting.

I have always grown up around firearms. After having a family, I decided that I wanted to be able to protect them. As the world becomes crazier, it is more important than ever to protect our individual freedoms.

Well I grew up in a hunting an fishing family my father started us early showing us gun safety an proper use of firearms it stuck with me growing up an even though all my military years! I became disabled in the military an eventually losing my right leg! I felt unsafe wondering how I was going to take care of myself let alone defend myself. I have a nice collection of firearms! I thought about selling them but kept telling myself no! Finally got fitted for my prosthetic an after awhile at the VA I was up a going! Then when SHTF a they wanted to take away are Rights a Freedom to carry! I figured I’d better do something I’m a life member of the NRA but sometimes there a little soft on are rights so I joined USCCA I HAD been donating here an there but after listening to Dudley an how hard he was fighting an trying to raise money I decided to become a Frontline Defender! An happy I did I donate to a lot of causes for guns right but after I seen how hard Dudley was fighting an how passionate he was I new I was doing the right thing!

I bought my guns for self defense, target practice and because the 2nd amendment says I can.

NB am 76. Grew up around rifles and shotguns. My dad was a great trainer, always focused on safety. My first sidearm was a revolver, purchased after having children. While I traveled on business, she felt capable of protecting our children and herself with it. We lived in a safe neighborhood, but you never know who may want to rob your home with family in it. Since the revolver, I have bought 2 rifles, 2 shotguns and 3, 9mm pistols. I have never had to use hem in self defense, but will do so if needed. The elderly are at risk in our society. Sad, but true!

Been a gun owner nearly my entire life, following USMC service. Feel the protection available from the USCCA is some of the best available, for the money. Hope I never have to test that out.
