I used the training that I have received through USCCA to prepare our high school students in the church choir to be aware of their surroundings and watch for those that would do us harm in New York at the World Trade Memorial. The students did great but the adults watched 4 people target our group for theft of some type and we actively moved to protect our kids (and there were two bicycle officers nearby) but those 4 still tried to move in on us. Never succeeded because we watched them like a hawk and continued to put ourselves between them and our students until they moved on to easier prey.
