29 years ago, I shot a boy breaking into my house. I was trained in how to handle weapons, I respect the honor and ability I held, but that did not prepare me for that night. What started out as protection, ended two days later with charges. Now this turned into a messy situation, but I did come out with no overall damage. Today i still have and carry my weapons and continue to teach my 5 children those valuable lessons I have learned. I wish the USCCA would have been available those 29 years ago. Keep doing what you are doing. I would gladly talk in detail of that experience, I am open about it, but its to lengthy to type out here. The firearm training should be part of concealed carry courses in the states that require courses to obtain concealed carry license.
