I was buying lunch at a local !cDonald when an individual cut everyone on line off . I told him the line started back and he started to argue and bumped me with his chest. Since I was carrying, I took a step back and started to walk away, he noticed the gun printed under my summer shirt and he started screaming I was threatening him with a gun and to call the police. Everyone looked at him surprised and saw me walk away calmly and aware as recommended in your videos and articles. I called the police and reported an assault and told them he was calling claiming I threatened him and to avoid a bad situation I would place the gun in the glove box. The dispatcher did her job and police arrived within minutes. I was enjoying my food when the manager approached me and told me they had video and the man was the attacker and they would testify and thanked me for de escalating the situation. The police approached me and asked me if the gun was in the vehicle, I said yes. In the meantime Another police man went inside and the staff and customers explained I was assaulted and handled the situation well and never pulled or showed a gun. They didn’t even see it print. The senior policeman took my information and asked me if I wanted to press charges against the attacker and. Said, yes. Under normal circumstances, I would let it go, but the man had a serous anger problem and placed all of us in danger. Had the police acted like cowboys and shown guns drawn, shooting before asking questions, it could’ve have gone barley for me and them. The police officers agree and actually thanked me for de escalating the confrontation and acted so responsibly. I told them I trained often and read your articles and watched the videos to which one said, I’m a member as well. The man reacted badly to the news he was going to be cited and refused to sign the summon which resulted in a fight and his arrest. While he was restrained his girlfriend jumped out of a car and attacked the policeman sinking her teeth in his arm and drawing blood. Both end up arrested and charged with more serious crimes. I kept an eye in the man with the anger problem and placed the gun in the car, but had easy access if he tried rushing me or pulled a weapon. In preparation of trial, the prosecuting attorney told me the man was in probation for loosing his temper and fighting twice before. He pleaded guilty and besides incarceration was ordered to undergo anger management training
