A gruesome murder on the streets of Cleveland was posted to Facebook. The incident began when one man stopped his car and approached another man. The two men were strangers. As I have said before, there is no reason to allow strangers to approach you. Do what you must to keep yourself safe. That starts with being prepared for possible danger.

We live in dangerous times and we see now that we must be ready for anything. If someone you don’t know approaches you, challenge him or her. Be prepared to defend yourself to the best of your ability. Use every level of force that is warranted, from a verbal challenge to alternate weapons up to and including deadly force if you must. Refuse to be a victim. Prepare yourself.

It is clear that we can no longer walk through life assuming that everything is fine. Most of the time things will be fine. Interactions with other persons will be peaceful, but each of us must maintain a constant state of suspicious alertness. We must be on the lookout for danger. A stranger approaching you on the street is a warning sign. Don’t take it lightly.

Action Defeats Reaction

Be ready. Pre-stage your weapon if you have one. Adjust your positioning to help you escape. If you can’t run or hide, you must fight. If you are not strong, fast or nimble, you must use a weapon. Get training. Be ready.
