Considering the political situation in the USA today, I would not own a weapon without some sort of liability insurance / court assistance, source of additional training and/or a connection to like minded people. If history repeats, you can bet that there are people in gov't (Federal & State) who would love for the 2A to be defeated and citizens stripped of their right to bear arms. Every country historically that has had its citizens disarmed have devolved into dictatorships and freedoms removed. That, in my opinion, is what we could be facing. As a Veteran, that thought churns my stomach. We must, as gun owners, remain united.
