I've always felt our 2nd amendment rights are not a political issue but a Constitutional one. I've been an independent voter my whole adult life and I it was the wisdom of the founding fathers that set aside that important amendment to insure that the power of the people can never be subjugated by an unjust ruling party, which is more the norm in so many other countries on this planet.
