Walked into an active house break-in situation. No gun then, just a fireplace poker. Called the police while the unsub fled out the patio door empty handed. Found a pillowcase with items in it on the hallway floor. 30minutes later the police arrive to make a report (we lived in the country then). Promptly went out and purchased a Hi-Point C9, 9mm. And at the time that was the best $150 I've ever spent. No longer have that C9, however......... I like the peace of mind knowing USCCA has my back if I ever get into a situation where I'd need their services.

I have honestly always been terrified of guns and I did training and the permit course to help me to understand guns better ,so I can be around them and know how to properly and safely use them. I haven’t bought my own gun yet. I thought being a member would help be with more resources about understanding guns and also I know I’ll be protected if I ever have to use one

Living in an area that is a major drug trafficking route and increased crime in Oregon triggered my choices. My research showed USCCA was my best option.

I was raised with guns my hole life with rifles and then went into armed security with my company and I really enjoy it and know on wood I've never had to pull it yet. Talk to them so they don't do something stupid wher they don't go to jail that night.i was watching a video from Tim and I call and talked to someone there and joined that day. I don't have a video to share.

I purchased a firearm not because of any traumatic incident but because I needed one for my career in law enforcement. I started my USCCA membership not only for the piece of mind that it brings, but I also believe that any person that owns a firearm should be covered by USCCA; because after 47 years in law enforcement, I can affirm that unexpected situations can arise that no one could ever imagine.

I grew up in the shooting sports. I purchased a firearm for hunting and target shooting, both of which I enjoyed. Later in life I realized the value of a firearm as a last option self defense tool to be used when escape wasn't possible and violence on my person unavoidable. I joined USCCA as a precaution for a legal defense if and when the unthinkable becomes reality.
